The Goa State Commission for Women is constituted vide Noti. No.4/19/96/SWD/W&CD/270 dated 25/01/2010 and published in the Official Gazette in Sr. II No.45 dated 4/2/10. The tenure of the Commission is for a period of three years .The said Commission is constituted under The Goa State Commission for Women Act, 1996 with the following Members.

The Goa State Commission for Women actively participates in the speedy development of women’s growth, stressing on emotional, physical, moral well beings, financial stability, legal assistance and thereby overall social upliftment leading to holistic development of women in Goa.The Goa State Commission for Women also organizes workshops and awareness camps. They also celebrate International Women’s Day, Seminars on media on Human Development, Health Awareness camps, personal hearings or complaints of the women,etc.
